Conference “Realities of the Special Economic Zones”.

A conference “Realities of the Special Economic Zones” was held in Gdańsk Science and Technology Park on 18 June 2010. The conference was organised by Ernst & Young in cooperation with the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone.  The conference attracted several dozen investors from Pomeranian SEZ, Warmia-Mazury SEZ and Słupsk SEZ and focused around the latest laws and the procedures of fiscal authorities.
The conference was honoured with the presence of Ms. Teresa Korycińska, Head of the Support Instruments Department at the Ministry of Economy who patiently and at length answered numerous questions and introduced conference participants to the amendment of the special economic zones act that is being prepared by the Ministry.
The event was opened by the Deputy President of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Mr Józef Adam Bela who first welcomed the guests, introduced the speakers, and then proceeded to grant a symbolic permit to operate in the zone to AMHIL Europa Ltd. from Kartoszyno, producer of plastic packaging.AMHIL Europa is among the most rapidly developing investors in the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. In less than ten years, the company has managed to receive three permits - the most recent one will allow the Company to invest another PLN 5 mln before the end of 2013.
