Signing of an Agreement on cooperation between the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone and Zhuhai City in Guangdong Province.

On 5^th December 2011, in Zhuhai an Agreement was signed on cooperation between the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone Ltd., represented by Ms. Teresa Kamińska, Chairman of the Management Board and the City of Zhuhai, represented by Mr. Chen Honghui, Vice Mayor of the Zhuhai City.
The agreement aims at commencing broader economic cooperation between the Special Economic Zone of the City of Zhuhai and Pomeranian SEZ, especially in the field of trade, promotion of innovative projects and support for direct investment flow in both regions. Signing of the Agreement was preceded by an official visit of representatives of the City of Zhuhai in Pomerania on 18^th and 19^th October.

The agreement is the result of thorough analysis and studying of economic potential and economic strategies of both Partners and is based on the existing strong synergies of industries, especially industries such as electronics, energy, particularly solar, information technology, bio-pharmaceutical, precision industry, printing and production of yachts. In the City of Zhuhai an Aviation Industrial Park is operated - a high-tech centre of Chinese aerospace industry. Final assembly of aircraft is developed here, as well as production of materials, accessories and electronics used in the aerospace industry.

Delegation of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone has met with companies interested in establishing close cooperation with the PSSE, including Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai, Singyes Solar Energy Yintong, Hua Bo Tech. All of these companies treat their collaboration with the Pomeranian SEZ as a chance to enter European markets. Performance of the Agreement is in fact aimed at easing and increasing the flow of goods between Poland (the European Union) and China, by significant strengthening of the role of seaports in Pomerania and Zhuhai (the Gaolan port is a major hub port of the coastal areas of China), establishing a direct connection between the ports, providing logistical support and consultancy for Polish and Chinese exporters (training). All these actions will strengthen the competitive position of the two special economic zones, cities, and businesses operating in them.

Signing of the Agreement on cooperation between PSSE Ltd. and the City of Zhuhai took place under the auspices of Polish – Chinese Friendship Society Pomeranian Branch and Polish General Consulate in Guangzhou.
